Our picnics change regularly and are dependent on the seasonal availability of the ingredients. Where possible almost everything is made in-house at Goanna Cafe Dunsborough, so we can guarantee the freshness and quality of the product.

All picnics are designed for two people to share, and include 2 x 600ml bottle of still Mount Franklin, wooden eco cutlery, plates & napkins. Hampers must be ordered at least 24hours in advance.

MELEAH FARRELL

Meleah Farrell is an abstract photographer based in Albany. Her stunning images aim to capture the ‘special’ in the simple things that surround us on our daily journeys.

Meleah enjoys experimenting with unconventional photographic techniques with all her images being created in camera with no or very little manipulation in Photoshop. She enjoys using a variety of traditional and not so traditional printing techniques, including her latest work which experiments with Encaustic printing onto wax.

ABOUT

Nestled in native Australian bushland, Goanna is quirky, unpretentious and relaxed. Our menu changes seasonally and showcases fantastic Yallingup and Margaret River produce.

THE CHEFS

Duncan and Tim met while working in London in a Michelin star winning restaurant. Despite their experience, Tim and Duncan really love to create simple, honest food made from the best local ingredients they can find.

CATERING

Goanna first opened in the late 1970’s on a parcel of bushland just 5 minutes from Dunsborough. Duncan purchased the café business in 2008 then persuaded Tim to quit his job as a private chef in Switzerland in 2012 to join him in reinvigorating Goanna and launch their catering business. Goanna Gourmet Catering launched at the 2012 Margaret River Gourmet Escape where they debuted the ‘Big Red’ pulled pork sandwich. 2013 saw a new direction for the gallery and gift shop, with a renewed focus on quality local and Australian design and monthly art exhibitions on the café walls.
